Dr John Armstrong Bananuka, an agricultural scientist and Assistant Programs Coordinator with The Eastern Africa Programme and Research Network for Biotechnology, Biosafety and Biotechnology Policy Development (BIO-EARN) will make a presentation on Biotechnology Development in the Eastern Africa Region: the Role of BIO-EARN. Dr. Bananuka has 16 years of experience in agricultural research, teaching and programs coordination and management. He has been involved in the implementation of BIO-EARN since April 2002. Dr Bananuka worked as a researcher both at Makerere University and National Agricultural Research Organization for twelve years before joining the BIO-EARN. His research interest focuses on technology development and dissemination. He has published in the fields of Agronomy/Plant physiology and biotechnology policy.
